“The hardest step is the first one” – How to get started building your mobile app 📱 or website 💻

Mobile_Apps

If you’re a first-time founder of a new technology company, congratulations! You’re taking the first step in building your dream and bringing your idea to life. Building a mobile app or website is a great way to get started, and there are a few key things you should keep in mind as you get started.

First, it’s important to start by defining your idea and identifying your target market. This will help you create a product that resonates with your audience and meets their needs. Once you have a clear idea of what you want to build, it’s time to start thinking about how to actually build it.

One of the best ways to get started is to use a platform like Appy Pie or Squarespace to create a basic version of your app or website. These platforms make it easy to create a functional product without needing to have any technical expertise. They also provide a range of templates and design tools to help you create a professional-looking product. At the end of the day though these tools trade simplicity for lack of customization. These are purely meant as a “Proof of Concept” which is a great temporary solution that atleast gets the ball rolling.

As your product grows and you begin to attract more users, you may want to consider hiring a team of developers to help you build out more advanced features and capabilities. This team will take a look at the traction you’ve gotten from your current version and most likely rebuild your idea but in a much more scalable way now that you’ve got atleast some traction. This can be a great way to take your product to the next level and make it more competitive in the market.

In terms of growing your idea, it’s important to focus on marketing and outreach. This can include things like social media marketing, content marketing, and search engine optimization (SEO) to help you reach more potential users and get your product in front of the right people. We have a belief at Founders Approach that most founders should be at least slightly knowledgeable enough in these areas. That way they can get started and hire on consultants or team members once they know the basics themselves. This gives the founders enough experience to identify the best people to hire in the space.

Overall, building a mobile app or website as a first-time founder can be a challenging but rewarding experience. By defining your idea, using platforms to create a functional product, and focusing on marketing and outreach, you can grow your idea and turn it into a successful business. As always if you need any help in this process don’t hesitate to reach out.

Best of luck!
